Daniel E. Smitson, IT Manager, Network Administrator
Dan Smitson studied computer programming at Baldwin-Wallace College before returning to his home town of Muncie, IN to complete his degree in Computer Science from Ball State University. Dan began his career in the Information Technology Department at Cardinal Health Systems in 1997, where he was involved with information technology support for the hospital’s network, company-wide operating system conversions and network maintenance. Dan was the team leader for Microsoft applications and was integrally involved in various projects such as implementation of both the electronic imaging system for medical records and the home healthcare network system.

Dan was named Network Administrator at Whitinger & Company in 2002 and has since been responsible for the growth of Whitinger’s IT business.

Jeffrey A. Martin, IT Analyst
Jeffrey Martin graduated from Ball State University in 2000 with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a minor in Computer Applications. Jeff began work with Whitinger shortly after graduation and has been instrumental in helping our clients with their technology needs and in the development of our Information Technology business. In addition to his work with Whitinger’s IT clients, Jeff is also involved in the audit field of the firm.

John D. Martin, CPA, Member / Owner
John Martin oversees the Information Technology department of Whitinger & Company.
